For our honeymoon, GP and I went to Hawaii – and it was magical. Here is a first post (and some big wave surfing!) and tomorrow I’ll tell you a little about what we did during our trip. Who knows, maybe I’ll even put up a Go-Pro video of our adventures, if you’re nice 😉
If there is such a thing as a perfect wave, you’ll likely find it on Banzai Pipeline.
We had never seen so many broken surfboards before… These massive waves can even be dangerous for the most experienced surfers.
Only in Hawaii: freshly-squeezed pineapple juice. Yum!
There are wild chickens all over the Hawaiian islands.
Best piece of advice: just leave the surfing to the pros!
Haleiwa Town, the gateway to the surfer’s paradise of the North Shore, is the perfect place to fuel up for a day at the beach. We loved The Beet Box Cafe, a hole-in-the-wall takeaway joint located inside a natural food store, which serves local organic dishes , raw juices, smoothies etc. www.thebeetboxcafe.com
GP had no doubt about his surfing abilities… Since he doesn’t have the skills to handle waves of that ferocity, he opted for a “big wave” beer instead… Wise man…
