Weekend Wanderings in NYC: Battery Park & Seaglass Carousel

Last week, we went across the Brooklyn bridge to finally check out the seaglass carousel at Battery Park, the Southern tip of Manhattan.

The Seaglass carousel was built where New York’s first aquarium stood in the early 20th century and is designed to ressemble an underwater garden. The shimmering fish seats move in all sorts of patterns, so you’re twisting and turning and moving all over the place and not just going in circles. We’ve certainly never been on a carousel quite like this!

Don’t mind V’s face. He was mesmerised!

Seriously, how beautiful is this thing?!

Manhattan skyscrapers!

That dark sliver out there in the distance is Lady liberty.

Playing the ” look at my red hat not the bags under my eyes ” game.

Pizza makes everything better. A is not 100% convinced though.

It’s fashion week in NYC!
