Polaroids Memories

“Our battered suitcases were piled on the sidewalk again; we had longer ways to go. But no matter, the road is life”
― Jack Kerouac, On the Road

Hi there. My name’s Eve. I’m a French expat living in Sydney, Australia, with my lovely boyfriend fiancé!, husband!!!, GP.

Travelling, exploring new places and far-flung adventures are our top all-time favourite life pursuits.

Welcome to our little corner of the Internet. Here you will find photos from our travels, updates about our expat life in Australia, fun things to do around the world (mostly misguided travel advice) and oh, did I mention Polaroid photographs*? We hope you’ll enjoy reading this blog and we’d love you to follow us. If you’re not on WordPress, you can also subscribe via email on the left of this page.

*GP is obsessed with old plastic cameras, especially with his “magic” Polaroid camera, and he’s always looking for a special enough occasion to use a few of his last precious exposures. Hence the name of this blog. You can find some of his Polaroid postcards here.

    Hi Eve,

I’ve been enjoying your blog for a while and just signed up to it too. My little brother has just started making an app and I reckon he needs a brighter, more colourful background photo for the app and website. Then I remembered your photo at https://themagiccamera.files.wordpress.com/2013/03/nyc-subway-7-of-21.jpg would be perfect! Would you be OK with him using it? If he agrees with me I’m sure he’d be happy to acknowledge you…

    Keep up the photography,

    Eyal

Thank you for your kind words Eyal!
I would be happy for your brother to use this photo with the appropriate credits. However, can you please ask him to send me the link to the beta-version of his website/app when he has it, so that I can confirm that I am happy with credits, contents and layout. Thanks!

  2. Hi Eve, nice to meet you. I had a good long travel around your blog last night and really enjoyed it. I think we have to visit Vanuatu now!
Thanks for visiting our blog and for following. I hope you enjoy the stories of our journey, both inner and outer.
    Happy travels

Thanks so much for stopping by and leaving this lovely comment Alison. Love yours too – especially your photos of India. It reminded me of our time there!
And yes, Vanuatu is indeed fantastic 🙂

  3. Hi Eve, love your photos, they inspire me to keep travelling! I would like to use one of your photos to put on my facebook page. I would be happy to put a credit on the photo and to credit you in more detail in a post. It’s this (very popular) photo https://themagiccamera.files.wordpress.com/2013/03/nyc-subway-7-of-21.jpg and my facebook page is https://www.facebook.com/Triplifier which serves my newly launched website Triplifier.com. May I please use the photo if I credit you appropriately?

  4. Hey Eve, Messaged you a while back about your photos. Still think they’re incredible! Sent you an email to the gmail account you originally gave me to discuss further… Hope all is good,
    Eyal
