Fresh air? Crunchy leaves? Big smiles? Little giggles? New York, you’ve got this autumn thing down! Some photos below (sorry – there are a lot, I can’t help it!). I gave everyone a proper scrub down before we came back inside our apartment, but the amount of leaves inside our pockets, stuck inside our coats was crazy. Autumn, you win.
A couple of weeks ago we spent a few days of peace (well, as peaceful as you can get when travelling with a toddler and a baby) and rock & roll in Woodstock, where the music festival famously didn’t take place. The legend says the original Woodstock Festival’s organisers wanted to plan their concert there; however, the town turned down their permit, and the “Woodstock” Festival was actually held almost 60 miles away in the town of Bethel. I feel […]
Over the weekend, we rented a car and escaped the city, and among other things, we visited a pumpkin patch for the very first time! We spent a good portion of our afternoon just hanging out with all the pumpkins. V had a fantastic time amongst the pumpkins but he much preferred the tractors and the hayride. August slept through the whole pumpkin adventure… We went to Wilkens Fruit & Fir Farm, in Yorktown Heights and it was great but […]
It’s hard to believe it’s already been a over a month now since August joined our family. It went by so fast, this first month of his life here with us. I knew it would, it happened that way with Victor too, but somehow, it was extra fast this time. If I could hit the pause button, well I’d be hitting that button all day long. There is something about that newborn smell, the quivering chin when they are hungry, […]

August Hudson Our calmest little bundle of joy was born Wednesday at 12:08 am | 7 lbs 11 ounces | 21 inches long. The moment his older brother walked timidly around the curtain and into our hospital room to meet August, my heart about fell out of my chest. All of the love in the world. Two boys! Two magical, tender-hearted, loyal little buddies to protect each other as they grow. Although for now, Victor thinks Lego are more fun. […]
A couple weekends ago, the three of us got a little getaway, finally getting some much needed beach time. It was our first time to Montauk and it was so charming and pretty. The town has endless cafes, cute shops, flowers and fruit stands. We stayed right on the beach and hardly anyone was there. It was so quiet and relaxing. We don’t often get a chance to slow down our days, enjoy time as a family, be more present, listen to each other. […]
If you follow me along on Instagram you might have seen some balloons snaps from when we went to the Park Avenue Armory on Sunday to check out British Artist Martin Creed’s retrospective exhibition called “The Back Door”. We spent the majority of our time in the balloon room, because V could not get enough of it! Elsewhere in the exhibition, we encountered films of people vomiting, spitting yogurt and defecating, along an array of metronomes ticking at different speeds, and a […]
It feels so good to be back in New York. V & I have thoroughly enjoyed this weekend together back in the city. We couldn’t think of a better way to celebrate than with a NYC colourful wall crawl!
